3. 24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. 25
Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He [h]touched the socket of his hip;
and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. 26 And He said,
“Let Me go, for the day breaks.”
But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”
27 So He said to him, “What is your name?”
He said, “Jacob.”
28 And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have
struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”
29 Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.”
And He said, “Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him there.
30 So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I have seen God face to face, and my
life is preserved.”
Genesis 32:24-30 Jacob
4. Genesis 32:30 Jacob
And Jacob called the name of the
place Peniel: for I have seen God face
to face, and my life is preserved.
Genesis 32:30 Jacob
5. Genesis 16: 7-14 Hagar
7 Now the Angel of the LORD found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by
the spring on the way to Shur. 8 And He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have
you come from, and where are you going?”
She said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.”
9 The Angel of the LORD said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself
under her hand.” 10 Then the Angel of the LORD said to her, “I will multiply your
descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude.” 11 And
the Angel of the LORD said to her:
“Behold, you are with child,
And you shall bear a son.
You shall call his name [d]Ishmael,
Because the LORD has heard your affliction.
12 He shall be a wild man;
His hand shall be against every man,
And every man’s hand against him.
And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”
6. Genesis 16: 13-14 Hagar
13 So Hagar gave this name to the LORD who
had spoken to her: “You are the God who sees
me,” for she said, “Here I have seen the One
who sees me!”
14 Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi.
It is located between Kadesh and Bered.
7. Judges 13: 21-23 Manoah & wife 26 September 2020
21 When the Angel of the Lord appeared no more to
Manoah and his wife, then Manoah knew that He was the
Angel of the Lord.
22 And Manoah said to his wife, “We shall surely die,
because we have seen God!”
23 But his wife said to him, “If the Lord had desired to kill
us, He would not have accepted a burnt offering and a
grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown
us all these things, nor would He have told us such things
as these at this time.”
10. Closure of ELSPA
Psalm 50 from God
16 But to the wicked God says:
“What right have you to
declare My statutes,
Or take My covenant in your
mouth,
17 Seeing you hate instruction
And cast My words behind
you?
15. 1) The promise of God
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom
the Father will send in My name, He
will teach you all things, and bring to
your remembrance all things that I
said to you. [John 14:26]
16. 2)Identity of Son of God
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
these are sons of God. [Romans 8:14 ]
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and
they follow Me. [John 10:27 ]
17. 3) Relationship with Holy Spirit
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you
abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and
I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If
anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is
withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire,
and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in
you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for
you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so
you will be My disciples. [John 15:4-6]
18. 4) Holy Spirit is our teacher
But the anointing which you have
received from Him abides in you, and you
do not need that anyone teach you; but
as the same anointing teaches you
concerning all things, and is true, and is
not a lie, and just as it has taught you,
you will abide in Him. [ I John 2:27 ]
19. 5) The power of prayer in tongue
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our
weaknesses. For we do not know what we
should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit
Himself makes intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He
who searches the hearts knows what the mind
of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession
for the saints according to the will of God.
[Romans 8:26-27]

34. 1st Oct 2020 - Day 2 5:34am-7:31am: -Praying in tongues sitting,
walking-Today eyes were heavy again. Many various thoughts or
string of ideas came to mind every few minutes. Overall, I felt like
the Lord said to keep praying and persevere. 9:40-10:10pm
1. Silent time with God was hard to keep silent. My mind was
thinking about lots of various things.
2. Logos: Thought of this verse, "No temptation has ceased you
except what is common to men."
Rhema: I think God is trying to say, "It is tempting to think of all
sorts of things when trying to be silent, but be still and know that I
am God."3. Prayed ephesians 1:17 but forgot to do holy
communion. When looked at this chat, did holy communion in my
mind. *Is it necessary to really eat a cracker and drink something for
holy communion? Or can I imagine doing it? Thoughts: There are so
many thoughts and ideas running through the 2 hours speaking of
tongues and quiet time. They kind of feel unrelated. Unsure which
one is God or which one is just me.
35. 2nd Oct - Day 35:31-7:31am Spoke in tongues.
Today eyes didn't feel heavy, praise God. Logos: I
can do all things through Christ who strengthens
me. Call to Me and I will show you great and
unsearchable things which you do not know. 9-
9:30pm Quiet time and holy communion. Initially
felt exaushted and just short in temper. After
spending time with God, felt much lighter.
Rhema: Trust Me, rest in Me.
Logos: Those who wait upon the Lord shall soar
on wings like eagles'.

"The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend." (Exodus 33:11, NIV)
In this verse, "face to face" is a figure of speech, a descriptive phrase that is not to be taken literally. It cannot be, for God does not have a face. Instead, it means that God and Moses shared a deep friendship.
Gideon also saw the angel of the Lord (Judges 6:22), as did Manoah and his wife, the parents of Samson (Judges 13:22).
Isaiah the prophet was yet another Bible character who said he saw God: "In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple." (Isaiah 6:1, NIV)
What Isaiah saw was a vision of God, a supernatural experience provided by God to reveal information. All of God's prophets observed these mental pictures, which were images but not physical human-to-God encounters.
Peniel means "face of God." However, the "man" Jacob wrestled with was probably the angel of the Lord, a pre-incarnation Christophany, or appearance of Jesus Christ before he was born in Bethlehem. He was solid enough to wrestle with, but he was only a physical representation of God.
"The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend." (Exodus 33:11, NIV)
"The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend." (Exodus 33:11, NIV)
Finally, the closest that human beings came to seeing God's face in the Bible was the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, when Peter, James, and John witnessed a majestic revelation of Jesus' true nature on Mount Hermon. God the Father masked the scene as a cloud, as he often had in the book of Exodus.
The Bible says believers will, indeed, see the face of God, but in the New Heaven and the New Earth, as revealed in Revelation 22:4: "They will see his face and his name will be on their foreheads." (NIV)
