2. There are two types of tides, high and
low, and special tides called spring and
neap tides!
3. As the moon orbits around the earth and as
they orbit around the sun together travel
around the sun, the combined gravitational
forces cause the world's oceans to rise and
fall.
Tides also change everyday, as the earth,
moon, and sun orbit, their positions
constantly shift, making the gravity effects
change, this makes tide times a bit different
every day!
4. Spring tide: When the Moon, Earth, and
Sun fall in a straight line, which we call
syzygy, we can see the greatest distance
between high tide and low tide.
