The San Diego Paralegal Association (SDPA) is a non-profit organization that promotes the paralegal profession through awareness, education, and public service. SDPA achieves its goals by working with state and national affiliates on challenges facing paralegals, offering continuing legal education, and advocating for pro bono work and community outreach. SDPA also aims to inspire individuals and create leadership opportunities for career advancement.
2. ï The San Diego Paralegal Association (SDPA) is a non-profit
organization established for the purpose of promoting the paralegal
profession through awareness, education and public service.
ï Most notably, SDPA achieves these goals by working with state and
national affiliates to address the challenges facing the paralegal
profession; offering Continuing Legal Education programs; and
advocating involvement in pro bono clinics,
ï community outreach programs, and local government. SDPA aims
to inspire the best in individuals and create leadership opportunities
for those willing to take their careers to the next level.

3. ï The Associationâs purpose is to advance the development of the
paralegal profession and to provide continuing education
programs for paralegals as members of the legal community.
ï In context of its specific purpose, the Association shall:
ï (i) provide continuing education seminars to the membership;
ï (ii) establish and maintain communications with other paralegal
associations on local, state and national levels;

4. ï (iii) foster communications with the local, state and national bar
associations;
ï (iv) promote a positive outlook on the profession and encourage
the development and growth of both the individual paralegal
and the paralegal profession;
ï (v) encourage a high order of ethical and professional
attainment; and (vi) support the programs, purposes, aims and
goals of the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc.
(âNALAâ).
