The promise of the Cloud is appealing: reduced costs, greater agility, flexibility and scalability. At the same time, IT organizations need to recognize that the Cloud introduces a number of issues around security, data integrity, compliance, service level agreements, and data architecture that must be addressed. According to a 2009 IDC survey, the top 3 concerns around moving to the cloud are: 1) Security, 2) Performance, 3) Availability – enterprises are looking for assurances that they are not adding risk to the business by leveraging the Cloud. We want to make sure we have not forgotten anything” We want to launch cloud services like our competition” “ we believe we can save money through adoption of cloud services” “ we want to become an internal cloud service provider” On the next slide we’ll look at 3 approaches to the cloud….
Just because we believe a lot of customer will go to hybrid model, they need a structured approach to integrate the approaches together. If you have cloud and non-cloud services, this requires a well-thought service lifecycle approach. Solution integration within your environment Transformation consulting Cloud Infrastructure workshops to build the vision and mobilise the organization POC and pilot capabilities and an integrated technology solution to build trust in the model ROI services to develop the business case
