3. Babur was born on Feb- 14
, 1483.
Babur is also known as "THE
TIGER”
His full name is Zahiruddin
Muhammad Babur.
By the age of 21 Babur
conquered Kabul and he
attacked India 4 times but the
attacks were not successful.
4. At this time Maharana Sangram
Singh and Daulat Khan invited
Babur to defeat Ibrahim Lodi .
Babur used his military
genius to defeat Ibrahim Lodi.
Finally Babur defeated Ibrahim
Lodi in the FRIST BATTLE OF
PANIPAT in AD 1526
5. Rana Singh hoped that after
defeating Ibrahim Lodi Babur will
return to afghan .However, having
conquered Delhi , Babur decided to
stay in India. This led to
BATTLE OF KHANUA in AD
1527 near Fatehpur Sikri. Babur
won the battle .But Babur‟s rule
lasted for only 3 years ,He died
in AD 1530 (47 years).

1508.
His full name was Nasir-ud-
din Muhammad Humayun .
He was Babur favorite son.
Humayun tried to enlarge his
empire by annexing the present
day Gujarat.

10. He was born in 1486.
His full name is farid Khan.
He was the Afghan governor of
present day Bihar.
He defeated Humayun in the
“BATTLE OF CHAUSA” in AD
1539.
He built Grand trunk road
which runs from East Bengal to
peshwar.
11. He introduced the silver coins
called “rupiya” and gold coins
called “mohur” and copper coins
called “dam”.
He died in may 22 in 1545
(age-75)

his successors were not capable
to rule the administration .
Humayun took advantage
of this weakness and
captured Lahore, Agra and
Delhi.
He died in 27 January
1556 ( age- 47).

16. Akbar was born on 14 October,
AD 1542 in amarkot .
His full name is Jalal-ud-din
Muhammad Akbar
He was only 13 years old
when he was crowned as emperor
of mughal empire .
His tutor was Bairam Khan
and took care of administration
of till when the Akbar was 18.
17. Now Adil shah (Sher Shah Suri
is nephew ) wanted to take back
the Delhi with the help of
hemu(adil shah‟s general) . This
led to battle. Bairam khan and
Akbar met Hemu in second
battle of panipat in AD 1556.
Akbar won the battle.
18. Akbar was a ambitious man .
Akbar did not depend on the use
of military force. He was the
head of both the military force
and the administrative set-up.
In the Akbar‟s Administration
Wazir – Prime Minister.
Diwan- revenue collector.
Bakshi- was the pay master of
the Army.
19. Akbar introduced the
“MANASABDARI SYSTEM”
(rank). Akbar also followed the
system of dagh-wa-chehra. He
abolished the religious tax on
non-Muslims, called the Jaziya.
In AD1575, Akbar opened the
Ibadat Khana at his new
capital, Fatehpur Sikri. Akbar
founded his own religion called
Din-i-Iiahi or the „divine faith‟.

navaratnas or “nine jewels” .

(aged 63).

September 1569.
His full name is Nur-
ud-din Muhammad Salim.
He was the Akbar‟s
eldest son.

was to control there
son,Khusra.When the Jahangir
was informed that guru
arjun dev aided his son
jahangir angered and
imposed fine on him.Guru
Arjun dev refused to pay
fine. Jahangir killed Guru
Arjun Dev. So there was a
bitter struggle between the
Sikhs and the Mughals.
25. Jahangir wrote his
autobiography called “Tuzuk-
i-Jhangiri. In AD 1622 his
health declined and he died
on 8 November 1627 (aged
58).The next ruler of
mughal empire was
Shahjahan.
28. He was born on 5 January
1592.
His full name is Shahab-ud-
din Muhammad Khurram.
Shah jahan was married to
Mumtaz Mahal.
29. Shahjahan led succesful
military campaigns. Shah
jahan then went to Bengal to
put down the power of the
Portuguese . The Portuguese
were forcibly converting people
to christians .More than
10,000 portuguese were killed
and many were prisoned.
30. Shah jahan was a master
builder . When Mumtaz Mahal
died in AD 1631,Shahjahan
built the TaJ Mahal to house the
tomb of his beloved wife.The Taj
Mahal remains one of the
wonders of the world even today.
Shahjahan died on 22 January
1666 (aged 74).
