Monsoon season brings many water and mosquito-borne diseases to Kerala due to clogged drains and unhygienic conditions providing breeding grounds for microorganisms. Common illnesses reported include typhoid, jaundice, dengue, leptospirosis, chikungunya, and malaria spread by anopheles mosquitoes. Prevention efforts include using mosquito nets and repellents, eliminating stagnant water, and promptly seeking medical care for symptoms like repeated fever and joint pain.
2. Monsoon brings with it a plenty of diseases. The
clogged drains and unhygienic surroundings provide
the ideal breeding grounds for many disease-causing
micro-organisms.

hygienic situation and the lack of proper awareness.

chikungunya have become common during the rainy season

4. Malaria is one among the diseases that may easily
affect the common people during monsoon season.
The malaria is spread by the mosquito called as
anopheles mosquito. These mosquitoes are actually
females. The monsoon season is the perfect season
for them to lay eggs and to breed. The untidy
surroundings make it easier for them to breed. This
is the worst disease that effects several thousand
people a year and leads them to death.

6. DENGUE
The next common disease is dengue.This is caused by viruses which gets
transmitted by mosquito.Fever , rash, headache are the main symptoms
of dengue followed by bleeding gums and palms. Dengue is also known
by the name "dandy fever" or "break bone". Aedes Aegypti mosquito is
mainly responsible for the transmission of dengue. As dengue is caused
by viruses there is no specific treatment for dengue other than proper
intake of fluid and food.
7. COMMON COLD
One of the common diseases in rainy season. This disease can affect
anyone. But this disease is not so serious. This disease will easily catch
us in case of we get wet of rain.
