Introduction:
• Continuing changes in health and social care policy and
practice have affected and changed the way in which nursing
is practiced.
• Now a days, post-graduate education faces multiple
challenges in terms of demand, supply, quality and returns.2
• Flexibility in working arrangements appear to be a key
factors influencing nurses decision to leave. Lack of
autonomy, support and feeling valued also important while
making the decision.11

Objectives:
• The objective of this study was to assess the status of
pass-out M.Sc. Nursing graduates from BPKIHS.

Methods and Materials:
• Descriptive cross-sectional study design was adopted to
conduct this study among students graduated from 2008-
2017 batches from BPKIHS.
• Using convenient sampling technique total 91 subjects were
included in the study.
• Pre-tested questionnaire was used to collect data by using
Google Drive Online System.
• The data was analyzed using Google Drive Online System
and SPSSv16.

Suggestions to college of Nursing for better Job status of graduates in Future (n=91)
1. Proper Guidance and supervision during clinical posting = 9.81
2. Exposure to workshop/conference/seminars = 8.72
3. Curriculum should be revised = 8.72
4. Conflict among faculties should not hamper students learning = 6.54
5. Periodic meeting among Students, faculty and coordinator = 6.54
6. Exposure posting to NGO/INGO = 5.45
7. Opportunity of networking during academic period = 5.45
8. One separate Biostatistics teacher at college itself = 5.45
9. Involve students in multiple exposure of learning environment = 4.36

Discussion:
• Majority of the nurses were satisfied with their job. Study
conducted by Burton9, Yamashita13, and Murrels14 reported
the similar findings.
• There was significant association between work place (Nepal
& Abroad) with status of nursing profession, satisfaction with
administration and evaluation system. Similar findings were
reported by Tzeng4, Gleason6 and Gaur7.

Conclusion:
• Based on the findings of the study it can conclude that most
of the pass-out graduates were satisfied with their job. Work
place (Nepal and Abroad) of the graduates were significantly
associated with status of nursing profession, satisfaction with
administration and evaluation system.

Status of Pass-out M.Sc. Nursing Students

Introduction: • Continuing changes in health and social care policy and practice have affected and changed the way in which nursing is practiced. • Now a days, post-graduate education faces multiple challenges in terms of demand, supply, quality and returns.2 • Flexibility in working arrangements appear to be a key factors influencing nurses decision to leave.   • 3. Objectives: • The objective of this study was to assess the status of pass-out M.Sc. Nursing graduates from BPKIHS. Prof. Dr. Ram Sharan Mehta, BPKIHS 3
  • 4. Methods and Materials: • Descriptive cross-sectional study design was adopted to conduct this study among students graduated from 2008- 2017 batches from BPKIHS. • Using convenient sampling technique total 91 subjects were included in the study. • Pre-tested questionnaire was used to collect data by using Google Drive Online System. • The data was analyzed using Google Drive Online System and SPSSv16.   • 18. Discussion: • Majority of the nurses were satisfied with their job. Study conducted by Burton9, Yamashita13, and Murrels14 reported the similar findings. • There was significant association between work place (Nepal & Abroad) with status of nursing profession, satisfaction with administration and evaluation system.   • 19. Conclusion: • Based on the findings of the study it can conclude that most of the pass-out graduates were satisfied with their job. Work place (Nepal and Abroad) of the graduates were significantly associated with status of nursing profession, satisfaction with administration and evaluation system.
