4. You’ve got to be prepared beforehand…
This means having a few ready made crafts and activities on hand
Follow along as we share three rainy day ideas that you can
prepare for your child
5. One bag could include a ball, Styrofoam
cups, rice and tape.
Step 1 - Simply pour a few inches of rice into the
bottom of one of the cups
Step 2 -then place an empty cup upside down
on top of the cup that’s filled with rice and
secure them together with tape.
You’re all set - There is the first bowling pin!
6. If your child has a literary streak, another idea is for your child create
her own storybook.
Step 1 - Place markers or crayons, lined notebook
paper, two sheets of heavy construction paper,
pencils and brass fasteners (brads) into your bag.
Step 2 - Have her tell a story, while simultaneously
writing it down on the paper.
Step 3 - Next she can draw a picture about the story
on the construction paper. Use the brads to hold the
papers together and place the construction paper on
the outside. Viola! Your child’s very own storybook!
7. Sometimes when it’s dark and stormy outside, children’s
activities should include a variety of things that can keep them
occupied for long periods of time.
Try making a bag that
includes several different
games, such as marbles,
jumping jacks, goggle
eyes and Popsicle sticks.
8. After you’ve gotten good at
this you and your little one may end
up looking forward to rainy days.
