Curriculum Planning (CP)
1. Need for CP
2. Design of CP
● CP is needed to
include all aspects . Viz.
NCF recommendation,
syllabus (BooK
content),co-scholastic
activities etc
● It is designed as per
school needs and
term/evaluation wise
3
Curriculum Planning (CP)
3. Purpose of CP ● Personalised learning
● Making learning fun &
enjoyable (burden-free)
● Reducing teacher work load
● Teaching values by activities
& role play
● Bringing new
ethics'compete with self'
● Involving parents- show
comparative progress of
child with self
4
Curriculum Planning (CP)
4. Who designs CP?
5.What to include?
6. Who should be the
center?
7.When to design it?
● HODs, Co-ordinators
and each subject
teacher should give
inputs.
● Include- Teaching
methods,Activities,Su
rveys, Field studies.
● Learners (Students)
● Before the start of
academic session.
5
Curriculum Planning (CP)
● A good CP must meet the satisfaction of the
learners and it develops all areas-
Cognative,Psychomotor,Physical,
Emotional,Social & Spritual.
● CP must be reviewed for its improvement
periodically and incorporate suggestions of
Learners,Parents and Principal.
6
Sharing of CP
●
CP must be approved by the HODs first
before sending for final approval by Principal.
● A hard copy of CP must be available for
teachers in library, for learners & parents to
study it.
● All teachers need to share it , read it and apply
it religiously.
7
Transformative & Effective Teaching
Teachers must be open to NEW methods of
teaching such-
1. Transformative methods
2. ICT methods
3. Hands-on-learning methods
4. Activity, demos, experiments, etc. Even in
languages and S.ST. i.e in all subjects.
5. Include 5 steps given in 3 models
discussed.
8
Transformative methods
●
It is a NEW concept developed by Global Classroom it
emphasizes of “ Compete With Self” principle
for 21st
century learners.
●
It is based on POP model.
● Activities, Hands on experiment and peer
ckecking & learning by control of errors
9
Process Of Perfection
in 5 steps
10
Transformative methods
1. Pre-Test /Base line-survey - What the child
knows? To generate interest. Prober 3 QS
2. Dramatic Presentation- Knesthetic/tactile
learning/hands on. Slowdown learning to speed up
Acclerated learning by concept clearing
In small steps for gradual learning
3. Abstract learning- with/without ICT/activity/mental
4.Control of error- Immediate feedback is constructive
saves time of class & teacher's
5.ProgressSurvey/Post Test- Quantum of understanding.

12
Diffrentiated Teaching –
by identfying levels and need of topic/ activities e.g-
1. tenses
2. students to write I'm good at
and worst at
Slow Teaching to speed up learning -
by data collection, teach well 1st
time instead of
teaching again & again (RE - VISION)
13
Extended learning -
1.Language of encouragement- do not use
good/bad/excellent/intelligent
2.Use Quality identification and mention in the report
card and talk of it in PTM
3.Peer check in class
4. Metamorphosis in education- the child should think,
give time, do self assessment (SWOT),to grow, to learn by
themselves (problem solving)
14
NEW CONCEPTS
● Daily perfection log by student in almanac
● Reading log in almanac
● Every child has potential - teacher & parent
to know it
● Exercises of Practical Learning (EPL)
● Circle time
● Rubrics
● Classroom setting (interactive class setting)
15
NEW CONCEPTS
5 A's
Assessment
Action /
Activity
Aim
Analysis

  • 7. 7 Transformative & Effective Teaching Teachers must be open to NEW methods of teaching such- 1. Transformative methods 2. ICT methods 3. Hands-on-learning methods 4. Activity, demos, experiments, etc. Even in languages and S.ST. i.e in all subjects. 5. Include 5 steps given in 3 models discussed.
  • 8. 8 Transformative methods ● It is a NEW concept developed by Global Classroom it emphasizes of “ Compete With Self” principle for 21st century learners. ● It is based on POP model. ● Activities, Hands on experiment and peer ckecking & learning by control of errors
  • 10. 10 Transformative methods 1. Pre-Test /Base line-survey - What the child knows? To generate interest. Prober 3 QS 2. Dramatic Presentation- Knesthetic/tactile learning/hands on. Slowdown learning to speed up Acclerated learning by concept clearing In small steps for gradual learning 3. Abstract learning- with/without ICT/activity/mental 4.Control of error- Immediate feedback is constructive saves time of class & teacher's 5.ProgressSurvey/Post Test- Quantum of understanding. POP POP POP POP POP
  • 11. 11 Transformative methods ENCOURAGE LEARNERS TO Participation in activities Write daily log in almanac Generate interest Change attitude Compete with self Personalised education Learn by self discovery
  • 12. 12 Diffrentiated Teaching – by identfying levels and need of topic/ activities e.g- 1. tenses 2. students to write I'm good at and worst at Slow Teaching to speed up learning - by data collection, teach well 1st time instead of teaching again & again (RE - VISION)
  • 13. 13 Extended learning - 1.Language of encouragement- do not use good/bad/excellent/intelligent 2.Use Quality identification and mention in the report card and talk of it in PTM 3.Peer check in class 4. Metamorphosis in education- the child should think, give time, do self assessment (SWOT),to grow, to learn by themselves (problem solving)
  • 14. 14 NEW CONCEPTS ● Daily perfection log by student in almanac ● Reading log in almanac ● Every child has potential - teacher & parent to know it ● Exercises of Practical Learning (EPL) ● Circle time ● Rubrics ● Classroom setting (interactive class setting)
  • 15. 15 NEW CONCEPTS 5 A's Assessment Action / Activity Aim Analysis Application
  • 16. 16 Lesson Planning ● Must be planned properly and include- 5 steps for each topic to be taught. ● Plan 1 term in advance. ● Must be effective. ● It reflects your ability to teach. ● It is your log for teaching
  • 17. 17 Lesson Planning ● Must be planned properly and include- 5 steps for each topic to be taught. ● Plan 1 week in advance. ● Must be effective. ● It reflects your ability to teach. ● It is your log for teaching
  • 18. 18 5 Steps to be written on board daily before starting the teaching in grade- 3 onwards 1. Objective 2. Contents in chunks 3. Recapitulation 4. Summary 5. Assignment
  • 19. 19 Teaching Process ● Do time budgeting ● Do follow COS ● Do follow SOP ● Do give assignment ● Do involve all students ● Do Not be late, be unperpared ● 20 years of teaching = 1year of experience
