2. British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)
The BBFC is an organisation that recives its funds
through the film industry and its job is to cencor and
put classification on films within the UK.

3. British Video Association
 the BVA was established 30years ago to represent
the intrest of publishers and there rights. Today over
8000 movies are released annualy in the uk.
Members of the BVA account for over 90% of the
industry and include big film and production
companies.

4. Film Distributors Association
The FDA is the company in charge of releaseing
theatrical films for the uk. It has been running since
1915 and works with individuals and compains. They
useally hold meetings atleast 4-6 times a year.

5. Video Standards Council (VSC)
The video standards council was established in 1989
to create a code of practice for the uk video industry
to follow. It is incharge of the responsibilty of age
rating video games that are sold in the UK.

6. Office for Communication (Ofcom)
OFCOM is the government approved regultary and
competition authority for broadcasting in the UK
aswell as telecomunications and postal. OFCOM has
power across TV, radio and telecoms it has a duty to
represent the intrest of the citizens and consumers in
the UK and to protect the public from what could be
viewed as offensive material.

7. Press Complaints
Commission (PCC)
The PCC is a regulatory body for british newspapers
and magazines. It is funded by the annual levy it
charges newspapers but it has no legal powers.

8. Advertising Standards Authority(ASA).
The ASA is the uks regulator of advertising across all
media in the UK. They apply the advertising codes
which are written by the committee. There work
includes acting on compaints about advertising and
to take action agaisnt it.
