2. GOD 3 aspects to God: Extremely Biblical and Conservative A bit insecure with his godly powers Old-school and grouchy
3. Biblical and Conservative God stays true to his biblical roots. More of the Old Testament than the New Testament. He threatens to use his powers to keep people in check. Sending floods, locusts, plagues. He’s extremely socially conservative—perhaps radically socially conservative. His word in the bible is to be taken literally. For example, perhaps he doesn’t believe in chivalry?
4. Insecure After observing much of what humans have done in the past millennium, God is a bit insecure with his powers. He doesn’t feel as omnipotent anymore. Is angry at the person who invented the intercom system for allowing someone else to have a loud, booming, and omnipotent voice and therefore takes out his biblical wrath on this person.
5. Old-School Since he’s more than 2000+ years old, God says a lot of old-school and grouchy stuff. Twitter account, ShitMyDadSays, is something that inspires this idea. The description reads: I'm 29. I live with my 73-year-old dad. He is awesome. I just write down shit that he says. Some examples: "We didn't have a prom. Dancing wasn't allowed...What's Footloose?...That's the plot of the movie? That sounds like a pile of shit.” "The baby will talk when he talks, relax. It ain't like he knows the cure for cancer and he just ain't spitting it out.” "Son, no one gives a shit about all the things your cell phone does. You didn't invent it, you just bought it. Anybody can do that."
6. Why make God like this? Play off of extreme religious conservatives that try to speak on behalf of God on social issues like abortion, gay rights, gender roles, etc. Put out the idea that God or religion is what one believes it to be. There is no need to have a generalized version of God or religion that must apply to everyone as long as we’re content with what we believe in. No stereotyping God. Observe people’s tolerance when it comes to their own beliefs. For example, if this is what I believe God to be, why take offense?
