3. Question Select an Islamic Philosopher of Education and an Eastern Philosopher of Education and present their view point.

Islam’s perspective towards education A continuous process that nurture human nature potential based on intellect, behaviour, spiritual and physical equally towards the creation of individual that brings goodness in the world and afterlife. Based on islam philosophers, education has the wider meaning and notion compare to the eastern and western ‘s perspective towards education.

5. Islam Philosophers Abdul Halim El-Muhammady, 1993 “ Islam Education is a process to educate and practise mind, physical and emotion based on wahyu, al-Quran and as-Sunnah, experience of Salaf Al-Salih and knowledge of muktabar.”

6. AbdHalimHj. Mat Diah, 1989 “ Islam Education is a process that students must come across with guidance that had be done purposely by the educator to achieve the creation of muslim human based on islam teaching.”

10. Eastern philosophers Confucius (551-479 SM) Education should not be affected by social status The purpose of his education is to produce an capable individual equips with moral knowledge.

11. He emphasis on moral education which are values of respect parent and elderly, hardworking, faithfulness, saving, tolerance, cleverness and bravery. According to him, a teacher should show commitment to the job that have been giving to the teacher.

12. Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) Education is a process that prepare everyone to make both ends meet in future. The purpose of his education is to create an round off person through interaction and integration with the environment. He emphasizes on knowledge and physical components, as such music, art, literature, acting and dancing, history and education about environment.
