Public Health Care System:
Comprises a set of state owned health care facilities
Funded and controlled by Government of India (Central/State)
Treatment in these hospitals are either fully or partially reduced
Eg: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in different
location (New Delhi, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Raipur etc), PHCs, Taluk
Hospitals, District Hospitals etc.

21. National Health Mission
The National Health Mission (NHM) encompasses its two Sub-
Missions, the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and the
National Urban Health Mission (NUHM).
The main programmatic components include Health system
strengthening in rural and urban areas, Reproductive Maternal-
Neonatal-Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A) and
Communicable and Non Communicable Diseases.
