Step 1: Think of a project idea concerning recent challenges you observe in the
fields of your expertise.
Step 2: Decide whether you want to develop a project concept on your own or if you
already want to form an interdisciplinary team together with other
participants of the Summer School. If you prefer to do group work,
connect with other participants via the DAAD Alumniportal group (max. 3 members
per group).

Step 3: Develop a project idea and describe it in a short text (max. 2.500 signs)
addressing your main question(s), methodological approach(es) and time frame.

What do we mean by„project“?
• a small research project,
• a paper for a journal,
• a project for the dissemination of research findings,
• a project for exchange between science and practice,
• or other ideas
Please note: Your ideas and concepts will be used only for purposes of the Summer School. It will
help us to better understand your thematic focus and to build interdisciplinary groups.
Nevertheless, we encourage you/your group to continue working with the project ideas after the
Summer School and offer our help.
