2. INTRODUCTION
For more than 25 years, Dr. Peter “Pete” Killcommons has
served as CEO of Medweb in San Francisco. Under his guidance,
the company provides web-enabled telemedicine solutions for
organizations around the globe. Alongside his work as a
physician and business leader, Dr. Peter Killcommons gives back
to the community through his support of several nonprofit
groups, including Fisher House Foundation.
While Fisher House Foundation oversees a number of programs
for military veterans and their families, it is probably best
known for providing free lodging for families of veterans who
travel to receive medical care. To continue providing its Fisher
Houses and other services, the foundation hosts several
fundraisers, including the annual Fisher House Golf Classic.
3. FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION
Entering its 15th year, the Fisher House Golf Classic has
raised more than $7 million for military families. More
than 50 sponsors and up to 288 players support the
annual event, which features a golf tournament as well as
dinner, an awards ceremony, and a charity auction.
On May 7, 2018, Fisher House Foundation will host its
15th annual Golf Classic at the Golf Club at Lansdowne in
Leesburg, Virginia. All proceeds from sponsorships, ticket
sales, and auction purchases at the event will support
Fisher House programming. For more information, visit
