mom, Harriet Jager, passed away last Tuesday;
t for healing for Kurt Postma, Deb VanHouten and
Sharon DeMaio who all had surgery last week;
t for healing of the skin graft that Melva Russcher
had on her forehead where melanoma was removed.
The graft does not seem to be taking so the doctor is
giving her 2 more weeks before redoing the graft;
t for peace for Dale Bronsink as he awaits word
from his doctor regarding how his kidney obstruction
will be addressed; (PTL no cancer!)
t for Doug & Marti granddaughter, Anya Dibkey,
who is suffering with Crohn’s Disease;
t for calmness and acceptance for Jane Tiffany’s
handicapped sister,Yttje, who has to move and
does not handle change well;
t for Margie Caruth as she continues to recover
from pneumonia and pleurisy;
t PTL that doctors confirmed that they were able to
remove 90% of John Feyereisen’s targeted tumor.

THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE Plan to join us next Wednesday, November 23, as we
present our hearts of gratitude together. The service will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Bring the
whole family!
LADIES DINNER & GAME NIGHT Please plan to join the church ladies & friends for our
annual Christmas Potluck Bingo Party on Friday, December 2, at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship
Hall at Parkside. Bring a dish to pass and two gifts of at least $5 value each. Sign up at the
Women’s Ministry Counter. It’s going to be a fun evening!!!
3 G’s It’s Christmastime and at 3 G’s, that means cookies, cocoa and crafts. Join other
ladies on Friday, December 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the church for some holiday fun! We’ll be
meeting in the board room or another classroom down the hallway.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY SERVICE PROJECT Helping Hands is teaming up with the Kitchen
and Food Pantry ministries! They will be collecting food and gift cards to be placed in Gift
Baskets that will be given out around the holidays. Gift cards such as to restaurants, Meijers,
Walmart, gas stations, movies, pizza, Target, etc., would be greatly appreciated in addition to
non-perishables & food items for the baskets. Gift cards can be placed in the box on the
table near the Women’s Ministry Counter and food in the Pantry Box in the Fellowship Hall.
The deadline to donate is December 14.
APPLEDORN CHRISTMAS SING Come and participate in ministering to some of our
widows and special friends from Parkside, in addition to the rest of their residents, on
Sunday, December 4, from 2:30-3:15 p.m. at Appledorn in Holland. We will be leading a
Christmas Carol Service. All are welcome. Bring the whole family!!
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY MEETING If you are interested in or already involved in Children’s
ministry at Parkside, we hope you can attend a meeting at the church on Sunday, Dec. 4,
from 7:15-8:15 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss what might be a long-term
vision for our children’s ministry. What might we do to reach deeper into the hearts of our
children and also how we can reach out to other families and children not yet a part of our
church. Your presence, your input and your thoughts & ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Free Christmas Concert - Rush Creek Bible Church located at 2334
76th Street SW in Byron Center is hosting a Christmas Concert on Friday,
December 2 at 7:30 p.m. The Grace Bible College Worship Arts Depart-
ment presents “GLORIA 2016” featuring the musical talents of GBC stu-
dents, facility, staff and alumni! There is no registration or ticket purchase
necessary; however a free will offering will be collected with all proceeds
going toward the purchase of a Yamaha Grand piano for GBC’s Worship
Arts program.
Journey to Bethlehem 2016 - December 8, 9 & 10 Step back into time
to visit the Christ child born in a manger. Your traveling group will be
given census papers to travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem to be counted.
On your outdoor, guided journey, you will encounter shepherds, magi,
Roman soldiers and visit the bustling shops of Bethlehem. You will stop at
the Inn, be turned away, and end up at the stable where the most pre-
cious gift of Christmas lay. Join others on this journey which starts and
ends at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 527 Taylor in Grand Haven. Tickets
are available online starting today at www.journey2bethlehem.com for
$5.00 each. Attendees will be assigned in groups of 25 for the trip with
various times available on all 3 days. Pastor Craig Apel is part of this

the church in support of youth outreach. If you would
like to support this cause by making a donation for the
paper, the newspaper rack is located in the front
entranceway. Thank you!
HOLIDAY PIES FROM HARVEST OF GENEROSITY!
If you ordered home-made Dutch apple pies from
Zach Caruth and Harvest of Generosity, they are
available today from the church freezer. There is
a checklist on the outside of the freezer with the
names of those who ordered. Please put your
money in the envelope and check your name off
that you received your pies...or pay Judy. Make
checks payable to Harvest of Generosity. The cost is $15 each or 2 for
$25. Questions, talk to Judy. Zach may have additional pies if
you didn’t get your order in.
MAIL BOXES All regular attendees have a mail box on the right as
you enter the front doors. Your name tag is located in your slot.
Please be sure to wear your nametag every Sunday and check for mail!
For regular attendees without nametags, please sign up for one on
the table next to the mail station and it will be available for you
the following week.
