Our Saviour. âThrough the Campbellâs Labels for Education program, we are able to purchase many items for camp, such
as audio-visual equipment, athletic and sports equipment, miscellaneous office and program equipment and supplies. The
budget dollars saved in the purchase of equipment through Campbellâs soup labels for educational and programmatic
purposes is tremendousâŠYour contributions are enabling outdoor ministry to continue, so that todayâs campers can
someday bring their children back to Camp Luther.â
QUILTS NEEDED â The 2nd Annual Quilt Auction to benefit the Camp Luther Scholarship program will be November 7
at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Weston, WI. If you can donate a quilt, please call the church office for a donor form.
Donations are requested by October 1, 2009. Canât donate? Plan to attend! This yearâs goal is $25,000.
MEDIA INFLUENCE â The average person is exposed to eight hours of media per day including TV, radio, movies,
recorded music, comics and video games. Do commercials and programming give the impression, through flashy images,
humorous slogans and promises of fun and companionship, that alcohol and pain/sleeping pills will solve their problems?
Parents need to monitor the messages from TV and the Web, when possible, and keep communications open with your
children about the messages they see in the media, and do things as a family (dinner, bowling, play board games, etc.).
Parents are still the most effective role models, especially for small children. Libertas offers inpatient and outpatient
programs to treat adolescent drug and alcohol problems. For more info, visit www.libertasgb.org.
LIFE QUOTE â âJesus alone has the power to heal what we have buried and tried to hid for so long. Remember that
Jesus Christ defeated Satan with the cross. Because of that, we do not have to be held captive to shame at the hands
of our enemy any longer. With Christ we are spotless, clean and pure without blemish. Let His grace be enough for you
today as you trust Him to work all things for His good.â Grace Kern, director of Word-of-Hope, LFLâs post-abortion
ministry (888-217-8679) This âLife Quoteâ is from Lutherans for Life â www.lutheransforlife.org.
