2. • This presentation will feature some of the best advice I
can give for anyone looking to succeed in a professional
sales environment or for people who are currently in
sales
• I have years of experience in sales where I have focused
on tons of different products and learned more and
more with each phone call I had or each meeting I set
up
• This presentation will give you the best idea of what it
takes to really succeed and establish yourself as a sales
professional
• Enjoy!
3. Active Listening
• This is a huge part of sales and is 100% a make or break for
every salesman or saleswoman
• Listening to clients and potential clients is a huge part of the
sales cycle and growing your own brand
• Listening intently to everyone allows you to find where they
might need the most help and understand them as a person
• A good salesperson doesn't just sell someone something just
to sell it, they sell it because the client actually needs it
• This understanding is detailed vividly in the listening phase
4. Empathy
• Showing empathy for clients and potential clients will only
further your career
• The best sales people out there let the people they are
talking to know that they understand and want to help
out where they can
• People respond a lot better to a sales pitch if they hear
that the salesperson has “been there”, or “done that”
before and they know how to improve your life in a
constructive and helpful way
5. Managing Your Pipeline
• This is one of the more basic principles of being a top earner and
professional in the complex world of sales
• Managing your pipeline allows you to properly and accurately
track where all of your clients and potential clients are in the sales
cycle
• Your pipeline should alert you when it's time to reach back out
and when to work harder on certain accounts
• Managing your pipeline allows you to move more seamlessly
throughout your day and provide better service to your customers
while remaining in control of your work and organization
6. Identify the Decision Makers
• Not everyone that you get on the phone or meet with can
make the decision to buy what you are selling
• Identifying the right person and pitching them on your
product or service will ensure you don’t waste anyones
time among other things
• This skill becomes more of an art than a science at a
certain point in your career where you can detect certain
words, phrases, or even body language that indicate they
are the right or wrong person you need to talk to
7. Overcome Objections
• Every salesperson encounters countless objections when
they pitch their product or service to someone
• These objections can be tough or easy, which is why
every great salesperson is well versed on their product
and do their homework
• Knowing the ins and out of the things you’re selling will
allow you to answer any question thrown in your direction
with ease and extreme poise
