11:00 am Guided tour of the village of Marzamemi. Marzamemi (name derived from the Arabic
"Marsà to hamen" Rada of Doves), is a small fishing village in the province of Siracusa, a
few kilometers away from Pachino and the baroque town of Noto. It rises and runs entirely
on the sea. Its origin dates back during the eleventh century, when the Arabs built here the
tuna factory. This beautiful seafaring suburb dates back to '700, when the Villadorata
Family changed the tuna widening spaces, building the church of San Francesco of Paola
and the fishermen's houses.
13:30 pm Lunch at the restaurant“ Il Boccone “.

17:30 pm Guided tour of Portopalo.The town is 58 kilometers from Syracuse and it is below the
parallel of Tunis, the municipality of Lampedusa and Linosa . Its territory includes the island
of Capo Passero a few tens of meters from the mainland and the island of Currents ,a few
kilometers away from the Province . It is mainly an agricultural and fishing center and it
bases its activities on these sectors. The village is bathed by two seas: the Ionian and the
rest of the Mediterranean.

10:00 am Guided tour of the baroque city of Noto,
known as the "capital of Baroque"; in 2002 its
historic center was declared a World Heritage Site
by UNESCO, along with other late Baroque towns of
Val di Noto.
13:00 pm Lunch at restaurant "Crucifix"
15:00 pm Spring Event "The Infiorata"
20:00pm Return and dinner at the hotel and free evening

4. 3° Day
08:30 am Breakfast at hotel
10:00 am Visit to the city of Rosolini . Rosolini is 49 kilometers
from Syracuse, and it is located in the south-west of
the province. At the foot of the mountains Iblei, it
stands between the provinces of Siracusa and
Ragusa. The northern part of the municipal area is
separate from the main building and fractionated
into two parts, united only by a road. This is due to
the legacy of the ancient boundaries between the
barons of the Val di Noto.

15:00 pm Spring Event " The inverdurata ".
20:00 pm Return and dinner at the hotel and free evening.

10:00 am Visit of "Isola delle Correnti".
11:00 am Visit of "Island of Capo Passero".
13:00 pm Lunch at the restaurant "Pensione Scala".
15:00 pm Visit of Vendicari. Vendicari and the town around
Noto are among the most beautiful locations
"rewarded" with four blue sails Legambiente.The
award is given through an assessment of over 170
indicators.The parameters considered for the award
of the sails are the quality and the cleanliness of
bathing water, effectiveness of separate collection of
waste, the sustainable management of resources, the
presence of pedestrian areas, efficiency of services,
enhancement of the landscape and local
productions.An important recognition for the town of
Noto, which sees awarded also this year its
commitment to continue to preserve and steadily
protect a beautiful land which is the wildlife oasis of
Vendicari.
