The 2012 National Genealogical Society Family History Conference will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio, May 9-12, 2012.
Entitled “The Ohio River: Gateway to the Western Frontier," the conference will include more than fifty national speakers providing over 150 lectures including ethnic research, African American research, research in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, migration to and out of the tri-state area, immigration, methodology, military, family history writing, ethnic workshops, technological innovation in genealogy (GenTech), BCG Skillbuilding track, and much more.

The NGS 2012Family History Conference will be held in the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, on 9-12 May. The Convention Center is conveniently located about 20 minutes from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, and is surrounded by hotels and restaurants.The conference hotels are all located within one block of the Convention Center. All provide free high speed Internet.
The NGS conference is the best genealogical learning experience in the U.S. – for 4 days, 5 times a day there are ten choices of lectures that allow you to learn and advance your family history, maybe even break down one of your brick walls. It is a tremendous value- it averages less than $10 a lecture!Some of the tracks that will be featured at the conference: BCG skillbuilding; methodology; ethnic research (Irish, German, African American); military records; migration; photographs; research in Ohio and surrounding states (Kentucky, Indiana); family history skills; DNA; and the latest technological trends in genealogy (GenTech). In addition, there will be over 100 exhibitors available on Wednesday through Saturday with the Exhibit Hall open to the public.The exhibit hall will be filled with all the latest genealogy-related products and services. You will have plenty of opportunities to meet up with old friends and make new ones. Choose from several different sponsored luncheons every day.
