4. CHRIST OUR EXAMPLE
An average of 20 miles (32 km) a day on all His
journeys would mean that Jesus spent at least 1,076
days and nights on the road in his life! This is a total
of Two Years, 346 days on the road in his life! All

5. CHRIST OUR EXAMPLE
Jesus travelled on foot
Jesus walked to all the places He ministered in
JESUS DID THE NECESSARY
6. CHRIST WAS IN GREAT
DEMAND
Mark 2
2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer
room for them, not even about the door; and he was preaching
the word to them.
People needed Jesus
Jesus walked to people
Jesus saw people
Jesus preached to people
JESUS DID THE NECESSARY
7. EMPAT SEKAWAN
Mark 2
3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four
men. 4 And when they could not get near him because of the
crowd, they removed the roof above him; and when they had
made an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic
lay.
They had a serious case
They came (theywent) to the right place and the
right person
They encountered a logistics problem
They were desperate
They worked and found a practical solution
THEY DID THE NECESSARY
8. REPEATED RESOLUTIONS
There are countless problems countless human
beings are facing over countless generations and
countless days
Countless good-hearted people in countless
families and countless churches have been touched
to the core of their inner beings by the countless
plights of countless people
Countless good-hearted people made countless
decisions countless times to do countless things to
help these countless people in need
9. LIMITED RESOLVE
While
Countless good-hearted people made countless
decisions countless times to do countless things to
help these countless people in need.
In fact though
Very limited number of those who made decisions
all those number of times to do something,
actually did!
10. DOING THE NECESSARY
Unless
we carry through the right decisions we made in
response to the many who are in desperate need,
little help will arrive on the scene of human need to
alleviate human suffering,
despite
all our considerable goodwill and good intentions.
11. WHAT IS NECESSARY
Financial resources in
regular, steady, longer-term supply.
Human resources in
various skills, roles and numbers.
Initiatives and innovations from
people who combine faith in Christ and faithfulness
to Christ with compassion for those in need and an
enduring resolve to
DO THE NECESSARY!
12. WHAT IS NECESSARY
Stories of
the young man who makes movies
the three ladies of Jenjarom New Village
the innovative Indonesian who found a way to
deliver water to mountain villagers
13. CHRIST’S RESPONSE
Mark 2
5 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "My
son, your sins are forgiven.”
Jesus sees and receives all the necessary doings
Jesus does the necessary
Forgiving the sins of the man brought to HIM.
14. OUR RESPONSE
WHISPERING HOPE
Soft as the voice of an angel,
Breathing a lesson unheard,
Hope with a gentle persuasion
Whispers her comforting word:
Wait till the darkness is over,
Wait till the tempest is done,
Hope for the sunshine tomorrow,
After the shower is gone.
Whispering hope, oh, how welcome thy voice,
Making my heart in its sorrow rejoice.
15. OUR RESPONSE
How will we in WHISPERING HOPE respond?
What HOPE will we bring to the hopeless?
What must we put in place to be able to
DO THE NECESSARY?
