5. VISA AND ALLOWANCE
⢠EEA and Swiss citizens need only produce a passport which is
valid for the entirety of their stay in Luxembourg.

least 3 months on the day they enter Luxembourg.

10. MAJOR TOURISTIC DESTINATIONS
The Grund
The valley itself, known as the Grund, also has points of interest such
as the NeumĂźnster Abbey and the Natural History Museum. Once a
poor quarter of the city, it has become increasingly popular for its
night life in the narrow medieval streets and for its gastronomic
restaurants.
11. MOSELLE VALLEY
The rounded hills of the Moselle valley are lined by vineyards.
The river passes a number of quaint little riverside towns and
villages with narrow streets, wine cooperatives and annual wine
festivals.
12. Medieval castle of Vianden
Vianden Castle was built between the 11th and 14th centuries
and became the seat of the counts of Vianden. It was further
developed until the 18th century but with the departure of the
Counts of Luxembourg to the Netherlands
13. Echternach with its abbey
The picturesque town, still surrounded by its medieval walls,
hosts the International Music Festival in May and June each
year. It is an ideal starting point for walks into the Mullertal or
for cycle trips along the River Sure
14. GRAND DUKE PALACE
It is the residence of the Grand Duke and people have
been allowed to see and touch it , some of its sections
and enjoy the luxurious view of the palace. It is in
Luxembourg city.
15. TOUR ITENARY

⢠Day 1 â Local departure by coach, then on to Vianden
in Luxembourg for a four-night stay in 3star Grand
Hotel Vianden having view of Orange castle.
⢠Day 2 â Vianden Walking Tour and Grevenmacher
Winetasting - Enjoy a morning at leisure in Vianden on
the banks of the River Our, with an included walking
tour of this pretty town. Explore the narrow streets,
churches and Gothic architecture of this historic town,
dominated by the Orange Castle. This afternoon we
included winetasting in Grevenmacher. B,D
16. ⢠Day 3 â Luxembourg City and Guided Walking
Tour - Included excursion to Luxembourg City,
capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, with
an included, guided walking tour.
ďStroll through the Petrusse Gorge or the old town
and see the remains of one of the most imposing
fortresses in Europe, including Luxembourg
Castle, the National Museums of Art and
Natural History, and the Grand Ducal Palace.
ďAlso explore Bock casemates, Place dâArmes on
foot and enjoy night life with local foods. When
you fancy a rest, relax in one of the many bars or

17. ⢠Day 4 â Trier and Echternach - Full-day, optional tour
to Trier, the oldest and one of the most beautiful cities
in Germany. Stroll through the impressive market
square or taste some of the exquisite Moselle wines in
one of the local inns. On our return to Vianden in
evening, we head through the charming region known
as âLittle Switzerlandâ, making a short stop in
Echternach, location of one of the largest Roman Villas
in North-East Gaul. Church enthusiasts can feast their
eyes on the Benedictine Abbey. B,D and can enjoy
cycling tours.
⢠Day 5 â To Calais, then return back home. Included
Meals: B=Breakfast D=Dinner. Some joining points
carry a supplement which will be clearly shown when

18. SHORT TOUR ITENARY

⢠Take road journey from Brussels or Paris or Trier and
reach Luxembourg city and check in youth hostel in
morning.
⢠Explore the city on a 2 hour walking tour organized
by tourist Board of Luxembourg which includes
Luxembourg Castle, the National Museums of Art
and Natural History, and the Grand Ducal
Palace,Bock casemates, Place dâArmes.
⢠Take local rail or Tram to cover 1 hour journey and
reach to Vianden and witness the Vianden Castle,
river and churches for 3-4 hours.
19. ⢠Return to Luxembourg city and enjoy nightlife
there with local foods in cafes and food chains
in Grund.
⢠Next day check out and reach to Echternach
for a morning cycling /biking tour for 3 hours,
enjoy the high cliffs and grand views.
⢠In noon, reach to Moselle valley ,taste the
local wines and beer, enjoy the mondorf-les-
Bains, a spa, a must do.

train.
