The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is administered to determine eligibility for teaching classes I-VIII in schools governed by the Central Government and schools adopted by the NCT of Delhi. CTET Applicability • Schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) & schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and NCT of Delhi. • May also apply to the unaided private schools, who exercise the option of considering CTET. • State Government Schools/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET.
