The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is administered to determine eligibility for teaching classes I-VIII in schools governed by the Central Government and schools adopted by the NCT of Delhi. There are two papers - Paper I for classes I-V and Paper II for classes VI-VIII. Each paper has 150 multiple choice questions and a duration of 2.5 hours. A minimum of 60% is required to pass. 10. CTET Qualification Criteria
• Marks Statement: Will be issued to all candidates
• Eligibility Certificate: To candidates securing 60%
or more marks

12. CTET Applicability
• Schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS,
Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) & schools under the
administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra
& Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman &
Nicobar Islands and NCT of Delhi.
• May also apply to the unaided private schools, who
exercise the option of considering CTET.
• State Government Schools/local bodies and aided
schools shall consider the TET. However, a State
Government can consider CTET if it decides not to
conduct the State TET.
