2. The aim of this subject is the introduction of
Pakistani architecture which refers to the various
structures built during different time periods in
the modern day region of Pakistan.
Thus the course covers the five thousand years
of Architecture in Pakistan, starting from Indus
Valley to date.
It includes the architecture of this South Asian
land showing the imprints of Hindu, Buddhist,
Sultanate, Mughal, Sikh, British Colonial, Post
colonial, Modern, Post modern, Vernacular and
contemporaryArchitecture in Pakistan.
