Business models transformation
The technologies, such as artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual
reality, the Internet of Things bring change into market segmentation and
transform the present business models.
Change in consumers’ expectations
The growing use of mobile devices, the evolution of the Internet, the
development of data analysis and machine learning technologies enhance
consumers’ experience and affect their expectations. In the B2B sphere,
clients expect offers tailored not only to their business needs but to these
new expectations, as well.
Increase in competition
As competition increases, companies should act promptly. While decision-
making can be based on intuition, not on the specific data, it also may take
weeks or even months.

5. Industry 4.0 means automation of all the processes and
production stages:
digital product design
the collaboration of engineers and designers in a
single digital space
automated order of the right quantity of required
components
supply control
tracing of a product from the factory warehouse to an
end consumer
After the product is sold, the manufacturer still controls its
terms of use, updates the software, notifies the client on
possible defects, and receives the product for further
recycling.
What production stages
does Industry 4.0 cover?
5
6. What principles is
Industry 4.0 based on?
1
Interoperability
Humans, sensors, and machinery operate together.
2
Transparency
All the processes are monitored, digital copies of objects and actions
are created in a virtual environment.
3
Technical support
Systems collect, analyze and visualize big data and support
decision-making.
4
Decentralization of managerial decisions
Systems may develop and promote decision-making, while staff
supervise the systems and enter the process only in extraordinary
situations.

23. Bank cut costs on data entering
To speed up processing of incoming documents, such as passports, driving licenses, ID cards and etc.
Bank officers enter some of the clients’ data into the corporate system manually. KYC documents include 14 various types of
identity documents, containing an address, employer’s background and etc. The average number of documents processed daily
reaches 8 000, and comes up to 40 000 documents during peak hours. Bank officers digitalize clients’ documents using OCR
(optical character recognition) technology. 50 top bank analysts were chosen to train robots to extract the required data.
In 60 days the business process was automated by 70%. Processing time was reduced from 15 to 2-3 minutes. Employees’
productivity increased by 55%. The Bank has automated the business process and that will save it up to 5 000 000 USD in the
future.

24. Bank has set up a new channel of communication with clients
To improve customer experience when obtaining mortgage, to let clients communicate with bank in natural language.
To enhance customer experience and provide clients with an extra channel for communication, the Bank has launched a chat-
bot for messengers and the corporate website. The chat-bot helps clients to go through mortgage procedures faster and easier.
To get calculated mortgage interest, an applicant has to fill out an Excel document with lots of formulas in it, to apply for a loan –
they need to fill in a web-form. The bot classifies clients’ queries, extracts the required information, fills out the Excel table, the
web-form, and submits the application. When the bot can’t figure out the question, it creates a task for a bank officer on
WorkSpace. The manager classifies the query and gets the necessary information, while the dialogue between the bot and a
client is going on.
The Bank received a new instrument for customer requests processing and improved the quality of its services.
