• Bi-lateral agreement between Brazil & Israel – 2007
• The Brazil – Israel Industrial R&D Cooperation Program was created
in May 2010
• 1st call launched – May 25th , 2010

6. Brazil – Israel Industrial R&D Cooperation Program
Program Criteria
• At least one company in each country, which should jointly develop
a new product, process or service of industrial application
• The new development must be innovative, with commercial
potential & added value to both economies
• Cooperation must demonstrate a balanced contribution
• Scientific/technological institutions - sub-contractors only
• Companies should have the technological, commercial and financial
ability to bring the new product to market

7. Brazil – Israel Industrial R&D Cooperation Program
Operation
• Active in all technological sectors
• MDIC (Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade) in
Brazil & MATIMOP/OCS in Israel
• Funding support - Israel: up to 50% of eligible R&D costs;
refundable if project successful
• Funding support - Brazil – according to the available lines, the
rules and operating procedures of BNDES, FINEP and BNB
• Ongoing Partner Search
