Introduction Media, which is the plural form of 'medium', are the forms of communication – television and radio; newspapers, magazines, and written materials or "print media", and, more often now, the Internet – used to spread or transmit information from a source to the general public. Advocacy means openly supporting a certain viewpoint or group of people. There are many ways and reasons to reach out to the media, and advocates should use media advocacy as a means of influencing key decision-makers. Media advocacy Generally we can say that Media advocacy is the strategic use of news making through TV, radio and newspapers to promote public debate, and generate community support for changes in community norms and policies.
