One of MCRA’s Personal Lines clients with multiple properties originally came to us to have their
policies reviewed. With their previous agent, they had five different insurance carriers and a lot of
headaches. MCRA was able to consolidate the client’s personal insurance program down to one
insurance company—streamlining payments and billing.
During review, our sales executive found several gaps in the client’s previous coverage, such as
missing locations for liability and no employee practices liability or workers’ compensation
coverage for private staff. Furthermore, the insureds listed on the policy were incorrect and the
client’s deductibles were not set to take advantage of pricing discounts. One of the policies had
never even renewed and the prior agent didn’t catch the lapse in coverage. Worst yet, a number
of the policies had been placed with non-admitted carriers—insurance companies that are not
financially backed by the state.
MCRA was able to present a program with one insurance carrier, ensure that all policies were
now placed with admitted carriers and secured better coverage and cost savings for the client.
