2. Martin Luther King was an American
clergyman , activist and prominent leader in
the African-American civil right movements .
He isn’t a violent activist.
MLK and Nixon defend Rosa Parks who fight
against segregations by refusing to leave her
seat to a white man. MLK and Nixon led
Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955.The boycott
lasted 385 days .
3. He pronounced a famous speech on August 28th,
1963 in front of the Lincoln Memorial in
Washington during the walking for the
employment and the freedom:
" I Have a Dream ".
He is supported by John F. Kennedy in the fight
against the racial segregation in the United States.
4. Martin Luther King became the youngest Nobel
Peace Prize in 1964.He struggle for no violence
against the racial segregation and for the peace.
He began then a campaign against the Vietnam
War and the poverty.
5. Martin fought with Southern Christian Leadership
Conference(SCLC) the racism, the segregation but
also the struggle against poverty.
In the end of March 1968, Martin Luther King moved
to Memphis to support the local black dustmen.
6. Since 1986, the Martin Luther King Day is a
federal holiday in the United States.
