The Child Friendly Technology (CFT) Framework provides guidance for UNICEF Country Offices on incorporating innovative technologies into education projects. It includes checklists, worksheets, case studies and other resources to help determine what technology should be used, how to sustain usage, and who to partner with. It also addresses issues like the local environment, content development, appropriate devices, teaching methods, partnerships, monitoring and evaluation, budgeting, and ensuring the needs of children with disabilities are met. The CFT Framework will be piloted in UNICEF Country Offices in Uganda starting in April 2012 to test the tools and gather lessons learned.
