• Transit Times is measured from the time a shipment leaves to the time it arrives
with the customer.
• The maximum inventory level is the maximum inventory that can be held at any one
time in a business.
• The inventory buffer is the maximum level of inventory that should be held to meet
emergencies.
• The load capacity is how full the vehicles are based on the number of shipping unit
footprints that are carried by the vehicle.
• The vehicle turnaround time is measured by the average time between the
transports arrival and departure.
• Freight bill accuracy can be calculated by dividing the number of error-free freight
bills by the total number of bills.
• The lead time is the amount of time a new order will take to be delivered.
• The point at which a new order is to be placed is the re-order level.
