Holidays: St. Stephens day is on December 26th, and observed only in
Alsace and Moselle.
November 1st is all saints day.
May 8th is Victory in Europe day.
7. Religious Influences: There is freedom of religion in France. France
guarantees freedom of religion as a constitutional right and the
government generally respects this right in practice. A long history of
violent conflict between groups led the state to break its ties to the
Catholic Church early in the 1800s and adopt a strong commitment to
maintaining a totally secular public sector.

to the U.S.

Eiffel Tower: Symbol of Paris, top tourist attraction in France. Built
by Gustave Eiffel. More than 200,000,000 people have visited it.
St. Tropez: Located on French, Riviera. Has been used for fashion
models.
Chamonix: Famous ski resort in French Alps. Site of the 1st winter
Olympics in 1924.
