TEACHING ONE-ON-ONE
Demonstrates a commitment to the continuous education and training of others as a means of increasing their overall
competency and productivity; utilizes an informal process to share knowledge and expertise, typically working with only
one or several individuals; helps others to learn through hands-on demonstration; assumes that people want to learn;
deals effectively with novices, showing them processes and procedures and remaining available to respond immediately to
questions; enjoys being sought after for expertise.
• Want to share techniques for increasing job competencies because he /she assumes that people are truly interested in
improving their skill base
• Prefer to work one-on-one in an informal teaching or training capacity
• Are patient with novices and willing to repeat him/herself or start with the basics
