8. Reflection: Think About It
• Wherever You Go There You Are…
• I spent about 12 years of my life with someone I
didn’t like, and it was awful. I dealt with low self-
esteem for
– 24 /7 for 12 whole years .
– That is 37,843,200 seconds or
– 6,307,200 minutes
– 05,120 hours of wasted life. Either way, it’s a lot.
Fortunately, you don’t have to waste this much of your
life.
9. The STATS
• 70% of girls believe they are
not good enough or do not
measure up in some way
• 62% feel insecure
• 75% of girls with low self-
esteem reported self-
destructive behavior when
feeling bad about
themselves
10. Why Does This Matter?
1. Your Self-
Esteem Affects
Everyone
Around You

What You Don’t
Have

18. E.ngage Yourself In Positive
Thinking
Don’t copy the behavior
and customs of this world,
but let God transform you
into a new person by
changing the way you
think.
-Romans 12:2
As a man thinketh in his
heart so is He. – Proverbs
23:7
26. Questions to Consider
1. At this moment what does my self-image
picture look like?
2. How would my life be different if I looked
at myself through God’s mirror (His word)
instead of my own?
3. When I think about the fact that God sees
me with no flaws, how does that make me
feel?
27. L.earn to Love Yourself
Unconditionally
God’s Love for you is unchanging,
and that is the way He wants to
love yourself.
Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)
For I am persuaded that neither death nor
life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers,
nor things present nor things to come, nor
height nor depth, nor any other created
thing, shall be able to separate us from the
love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
29. Inner Beauty First
Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of
fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful
clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with
the beauty that comes from within, the unfading
beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so
precious to God. This kind of beauty will last, and
God considers it very special.
(1 Peter 3:3-4).
31. You Are Beyond Compare
However, when they [meaning you and I]
measure themselves with themselves and
com pare them selvesw ith one another, they are
w ithoutunderstanding and behave unw isely.
(2 Corinthians 10:12)
