* 1 cup water * 2/3 cup milk
* 2 tablespoons butter * 1 teaspoon vanilla (or similar)
The Recipe
5. Calculate the ingredients you need for the number of
portions according to your group, in grams.
Calculate the ratio between the flour and the butter.
Calculate how much a portion of the pie would cost-
show us your calculations and the unit costs for each
ingredient.
In the end, create a bar chart with the cost of the same
piece of pie in all the partners’ towns.
One cup = 250 grams
One tablespoon = 20 grams
The Tasks
6. Calculate the average cost and the difference
between this and the cost in your town.
Calculate the baking temperatures assuming your
oven is labeled in Fahrenheit, not Celsius.
Use the formula F=9/5*C+32
Optional: bake the pie and show it to the partners!
The Tasks
7. Don’t forget to take photos so we can see you at
work!
Piece of pie, isn’t it?
Enjoy the task, and the pie!
