1. Introduction
About our Group:
In our group, we are 4 members named Pathan Shahbazkhan
(150603119010), Purshwani Vishal (150603119012), Rushi Suthar
(150603119017), and Parmar Ranjitsinh (150603119005).Our Faculty Guide is
Prof. D.K.Patel.
About Design Thinking:
Design Thinking is a methodology used by designers to solve complex
problems, and find desirable solutions for clients. Design Thinking draws upon
logic, imagination, intuition, and systemic reasoning, to explore possibilities of
what could be, and to create desired outcomes that benefit the end user (the
customer). A design mindset is not problem-focused, it’s solution focused, and
action oriented. It involves both analysis and imagination. Design thinking is a
process which includes the "building up" of ideas, with few, or no, limits on
breadth during a "brainstorming" phase.

2. Empathy Mapping
Domain:
Our domain area is Automobiles. In today’s world personal and public
transport is the most important thing. Rapid transport is essential with
environment friendly. But, the conventional vehicles which usage nowadays it
powered by petroleum fuels and exhaust smoke of this fuel is harmful to
environment.
The Purpose Of this project is to provide eco-friendly environment and good
health. To fulfill this purposewe have thought to invent the Pneumatic Car. In the
pneumatic Car, we think to use of compressed air to drive vehicle and elimination
of fuel.
Users and Stakeholders
Image 2.1 User and stakeholders
The people who are involved in these activities can be civilians, travelers,
racers, researchers etc. the users are the owner of vehicle who can be student,
faculty, doctor, businessmen, domestic driver, employee, civilians, professional
racer etc.
Stakeholders are the environment saving NGO’s, Researchers, Engineers
Automobile industries, pollution control organization etc.
Activity:

Activities which are associated with this productis described below:
Image2.2 activities
Students going to Schoolby cycling
Some people parking their cars
Passengers waiting for the bus
Traffic officer manage the traffic
Mechanic repair a car
Vehicles owners are in Queue on the patrol pump
Rickshaw drivers finding passengers
Taxi drop the passengers
People randomly walked on roads
Some people ride a bike
Ambulance going to the Hospital
We provided two sad and one happy emotional stories highlighting the
difficulties being faced.

Conclusion:
Automobiles are widely used in public and personal transportation also in
goods transportation. There are all type of people like students, teachers,
employee, domestic drivers, civilians, villagers, racer etc. Are relate to
automobiles .they are professionally or emotionally use vehicles. In conventional
vehicle there two main problem oneis unavalibity offuel in midways in highways,
rural areas and second is air pollution are caused by the vehicles.

3. Ideation canvas
Second task was to create” THE IDEATION CANVAS”. We described
activities of people and situation orlocation where they are facing problems. This
canvas is very helpful to reach near our goal. This canvas helped us to know what
the areas which need focus are.
People:
The people involved in activities are travelers, employees, students, drivers etc.

Situation Location and contexts:
We attempted to identify different locations that are involved in performing the
above activities, situations that are applied to perform certain activities and context

of importance that was relevant to activities. We came up with the following
Image3.3 Situation Location and contexts
The problems we find out after analysis of ideation canvas are mentioned below:
After the fuel is over car is not run
Unavailability of fuel in rural area, mid highways in short distance.
The smoke of car is caused air pollution
No other system in car to drive for some short distance without fuel
Car is very costly
Maintenance and refilling fuel is costly
Props/Possible solution:

12Designengineeringcanvas reportonpneumaticcar
The possible solution for the problem figured out are should be:
Use renewable fuel
Air powered car
Solar / electric powered vehicle
Patrolling on the highways
Paddle generator electric vehicle
Eco friendly vehicle
Use of public transport

About Product Pneumatic Vehicle:
16. GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE, GODHRA.
16Designengineeringcanvas reportonpneumaticcar
Pneumatic vehicle is powered by an air engine, using compressed
air, which is stored in a tank. Instead of mixing fuel with air and burning it
in the engine to drive pistons with hot expanding gases, compressed-air
vehicles use the expansion of compressed air to drive their pistons. The
Use of compressed air for storing energy is a method that is not only
efficient and clean, but also economical. Refilling of air very easy and can
refilling at any places.Reduces the costofvehicle productionbyabout 20%
as no need to build a cooling system, fuel tank, Ignition Systems or
silencers. Smooth working will lead to less wear & tear, so lesser
maintenance cost. So, this product fulfill the demands of fuel free,
economic and pollution free car.
