2. Sierra Nevada is a National and Natural Park where you can find the
Mulhacen, the highest peak in the peninsula . Sierra Nevada is located
in the south of Spain, belonging to the Penibética range, so it joins
Granada and Almeria.
Sierra Nevada is named for its large snowfall, for its altitude,
temperatures and because it snows all year round.
3. The Yesos’s Karst in Sorbas, is a complex of caves,
canyons, geodes and other karst phenomena.
It is situated on a deposit of plaster, in the south of
the Sorbas locality, in Almería.
It appeared originally after the invasion of the
Mediterranean sea to the basin of Sorbas, it
happened by an evaporation process.
When the sea was lower, plasters remained on the
surface exposed to rain water, which gave this
incredible features to this karstic landscape.
