6. Psychoanalytical Theory

rational thoughts

ï” Id-innate source of psychic energy , it is unconscious part of human
personalities. Id knows and obeys no laws.
ï” Ego â conscious part of human personality, associated with reality, it
checks ID through logic and intellect.
ï” Super ego- conscience. It provide norms & values to ego to determine
which is right and wrong at given time in given society/situation.
ï” id seeks pressure, ego verifies reality, super ego strives for perfection.
7. Social learning theory
ï” Learning can simply defined as any change in ones behavior that occurs
after the result of experience.

ï” This theory emphasis on how an individual behaves in a given situation.
8. Self theory
ï” Carl Rogers( described as phenomenological which studies individuals
experience, feelings, his concepts of world and self.)
ï” Self image- how one sees oneself
ï” Ideal self â what one like to look like.
ï” Looking glass self â the way an individual thinks people perceive about
him. This indicate oneâs belief about self is the reflection of others
perception about the person.
