5. The Problem Area / Objectives/ Why this Application was
Developed
Warehouse Associates/WMS ​is a part of the supply chain, the primary goal of which is
to track and control the movement and storage of products/items within a warehouse
till ship to the customers, and process the associated inventory actions,
including: ​receiving, adding/associating, picking, quality control, shipping, reporting​.
WMS is streamlines and it facilitates processes and a product's journey throughout the
warehouse; for example, direct and optimize picking process by utilizing real-time
inventory from proper warehouse location to retrieve the products/items from.
More precisely, warehouse management involves the receipt, storage, and movement
of goods to intermediate storage locations or to a final customer.

The application allows staff to perform following functions:
• The primary goal of an application is to track the real time inventory
• User can track & control the movement and stock of products and items within warehouse
till the shipment to customer
• Staff can track the process associated to inventory actions i.e. receiving process, adding
items, associating with locations picking orders, quality control and shipment
• WMS streamlines and felicitates process and a products journey throughout the warehouse
• Staff can create sales order, pick order, EDI, invoice with a single click
• Admin can get miscellaneous report to track the process.

• If user will forget password can reset
password by clicking on forgot

GP1 and receiving in the Location
dropdown. Locations which having
stock you can see in Locations with
Stock dropdown. You can not
remove location having QTY from
Locations with Stock

you get listing of all the warehouse
locations of WMS system.
You can find There are first 3 locations
that are SORT, GP1 and RFD. these
three are not associates with any
company they are general for the
system
In WMS system Warehouse is the place where all
the items/inventory are stored. In Warehouse, there
are warehouse locations and, in that locations,
there are company wise parts are available.

You get listing of all the warehouse
locations of WMS system.
User cannot delete receiving location if any container
is associates with it.

Customer Location
From here, you can track all the
customers who are giving order to
WMS system. Customers giving order
of particular company’s items. User
can add new customer by adding
basic details, contact details and
address
Customer locations are where the customer wanted
to ship his order. It is possible to having multiple
location of customer. You can Add/Edit Customer
Location by Adding its Name only

User can add or update container,
can empty container, link receiving
location to container and can convert
container to receiving to WIP process
Once you create Container in system, you are
importing file into system then once container is
arrived you will link receiving location to it.

• In Air Receiving, you are scanning
the parts which are coming
through air and Associate them to
the Warehouse Locations by
clicking on “QR Scan”.
• You are also allowed do manual
entry for the Receiving Quantity
by Clicking on “Manual Entry” but
for Associate it to the Warehouse
Locations you have to use QR
scan.
• From Listing screen, you can ​“Add
New Items”
• After uploading CSV, added data
will be listed out.
• You ​cannot scan​more than
expected quantity by QR scan or
by manual.

Part quantity update
• You can update the any part’s
quantity with selected location.
• Location dropdown is also show
you the existing quantity in
bracket in locations.
• In part quantity update, you can
update CERTIFIED, active, pending
and SORT location’s quantity.
• Updated quantity is found in
inventory total and in stock ledger
with reference of Part quantity
update.
• You can also edit selected part ‘s
details by using ​"Click here to
modify link"

Inventory Audit
• You can audit inventory by
selecting part number and direct
selecting the location in which you
want to audit quantity.
• In Inventory Audit we can audit
quantity in locations of any part.
• You can also edit selected part by
using ​"Click here to modify link"

have selected wrong part.
• You can also find transaction
history of this module from stock
ledger section
• You can also go to ​“MOVE”​module
from this screen, by clicking on
move button.

• Move is only performed when
part is having multiple location
You can only move quantity which
is equal or less than actual
quantity
• MOVE section will allow you to
“MOVE” quantity in locations of
any part.
• To move quantity,

Then it will be selected and now,
you can scan ​destination
location.
That will be also selected. Enter
Quantity you want to move
Click on ​“MOVE”

report and can export to excel.

In EDI section User upload CSV of
customers’ orders. That CSVs contain
his locations wise order details.
EDI listing screen gives you the
customers list who have given orders
to WMS. User can,

• Uploaded Date of file
● User can filter, list by Customer.

User can create sales order which are

“Sales Order” from left side menu.
create sales order in two way:
● Create sales order from EDI
● Create direct sales order
From Listing screen, you can,
o Create New sales order from EDI
o Create New Sales order
o Can filter listing by Ship date,
Customer, customer location and
status wise.
o View/Edit/Delete sales order
o Create Pick Order
o Generate Invoice and pallet pdf

User can create pick order from
direct sales order listing or from pick
order window
User can Pick Items from only ACTIVE
and CERTIFIED locations (So, on this
screen you can only see ACTIVE AND
CERTIFIED locations of the part).
If any Part is in QA Alerts and pick
order is created for that part, then on
picking process screen it only shows
“CERTIFIED” location

Generate credit memo
You can complete credit order by
picked requested quantity OR less
than requested quantity (for
remaining QTY you can update using
inventory audit). And you have to
also add mandatory comment for
that. After entering picked quantity,
you must bind that to “ACTIVE”
location only.
User can Pick Items from only ACTIVE
and CERTIFIED locations (So, on this
screen you can only see ACTIVE AND
CERTIFIED locations of the part).
If you have selected Physical
Verification as “YES” then complete
your credit order from “Credit Order”
section.

Stock Ledger
Stock ledger is storing transactional
history of all parts.so, when you are
performing actions on
inventory/stock it is tracked in stock
ledger.
For all entries if for any location same
actions are performed (with same
comment) then that all entries will be
merged with QTY.

also logged in stock ledger
