2. The Influences and Opportunities of the Global Network of Science
Significant forces are shifting the organization of science, with the biggest
changes occurring in the collaborative reach of global science. The features
reorganizing science are: collaboration and teaming; global linkages; and open
data sharing. These features are altering how scientists organize to conduct
research, the methods by which they share knowledge and outcomes, and the
pathways by which knowledge flows to users. As this reorganization occurs,
many are affected, not least those who fund and benefit from science, but also
those who conduct science. The forces are not nationally or policy driven—
instead they emerge from dynamics within science communications, organize
within and influence networks, and set the agenda for policy. The changes set
the stage for the future of economic competitiveness and science-based
development. This talk highlights these changes and discusses their
implications for global policy and governance.

Your name in Chinese characters is added.
On this slide, you can focus not only on the popularity of Korean pop culture across Asia, but also the emerging international popularity of Chinese movies and dramas. There is a newly coined term Huallywood referring to Chinese version of Hollywood. It is a fairly new term. You can find an academic paper on Huallywood at http://www.aect.org/pdf/proceedings13/2013i/13_25.pdf
The picture on the top right is a Chinese TV series aired in Korea. You can use this to showcase the reciprocal cultural tie between the two countries.
As an opener, you can use Chicken and Beer Craze to show the popularity of Kpop in China, more at http://blogs.wsj.com/chinarealtime/2014/02/26/korean-tv-show-sparks-chicken-and-beer-craze-in-china/
