- Many people asked us . . .
- As I said, the Gac fruit is on top of our list of amazing superfruits. It’s extraordinarily rich in antioxidants, especially the carotenoids lycopene and beta carotene, as well as vitamin E. Its generally accepted that the deeper the color of a fruit of vegetable, the higher its nutrient content. And just look at the color of this Gac fruit pulp! In fact, the distinctive, bright red color of g3 juice is mainly due to the pulp of this Gac fruit. This deep red color is due to the high content of these carotenes. But Gac has something even more. There is a type of naturally occurring long chain fatty acid contained in the fruit that attracts and binds important antioxidants and makes them much easier for the body to absorb. Pharmanex has named these “lipocarotenes”,. This is the perfect delivery system for a drink that is packed with so much nutrition and antioxidants. .
- But this is not all. Gac is also rich in beta carotene, and contains 10 x more beta carotene in the fresh fruit than our old friend the carrot. This truly is a super fruit.
- Just look at this graph showing how much lycopene is in the gac fruit. In fact, we first saw a poster just like this at a science conference in California. When we saw the poster we thought: “this must be a mistake”. It turned out that Dr. Betty Ishida, who was standing right there next to her poster, came forward and said “no, I did this research myself, I’m sure its correct!” Well, you can’t blame us for being surprized. A large company that sells lycopene to the supplement industry has spent many years and tens of millions of dollars genetically engineering a tomato so that it would have 2x the lycopene content of an ordinary tomato. And yet this gac fruit already has, naturally, an astounding 70 x the lycopene content of tomatoes.
- The Cili fruit, like the other fruits, is an incredible super fruit., once again we see another of these graphs. 60x more vitamin C by weight than oranges.
- In another of the superfruits, Lycium we find very rich levels of an antioxidant carotenoid called Zeaxanthin. In most people’s diets, corn is the main source of this carotenoid. Lycium has amazing amounts. Zeaxanthin is especially important in the eyes where, along with lycopene, it protects the eye from the most high energy and damaging light, blue light (which is closest to UV light) and where it acts also as an antioxidant.
- we saw a large increase in antioxidant scores in the g3 group to the tune of about a 10,000 unit increase in eight weeks. Now all but one subject in our g3 group had an increase, so we are not sure if that was maybe a Noni spy, but we are just going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they have a hard time absorbing fat and fat-soluble vitamins. Speaking of absorbtion, just how does g3 stack up? Remember those lipocarotenes in g3 that I talked about? Well we compared the bioavailability the lipocarotenes in g3 to other supplements we have studied in the past, and again, g3 gave us very impressive results.
