volumes of new literature
were purchased. The
funds were provided
under approved projects
of the Chitalishte Board
under the Ministry of
Culture’s program
“Bulgarian Libraries:
Modern Centers for
Reading and
Information”.
8. An important part of the
development of Peyo
Yavorov 1982 Chitalishte
is its participation in the
Global Libraries –
Bulgaria Program
launched in 2010.
For the purposes of
chitalishte work, the
program provided three
computer configurations
and a multimedia.
9. In May 2011, the
library information
center was officially
opened.

the Global Libraries Program
enables us not only to create
promotional materials for our
cultural and educational
events, but also to publish the
Zornitsa literary almanac,
children’s coloring books for
Christmas and Easter and we
are able to help our patrons
find online materials on
various topics.
The chitalishte has its own
Facebook page where we
publish materials on our
events.

The amateur performers
of Peyo Yavorov
Chitalishte, led by their
great love of art, do not
spare any strength or
energy. They do their
best to promote
Bulgarian folklore and
arts not only in Haskovo
and Bulgaria, but also far
beyond the borders of
our country.
19. . .The ensemble was created in 1999. It
comprises of dancers aged 17–35 years.
The artistic manager of the ensemble is
the choreographer Vasko Dimov.
While the ensemble’s repertoire is based
on the Thracian ethnographic region, it
includes works from other regions of
Bulgaria.
Southerners Dance Ensemble performs
diverse concert activities in Bulgaria and
abroad. It is the winner of the golden key
of Ismailia from the International
Folklore Festival in Egypt in 2000.

was founded in 2003. Its
director is Ms. Rositsa
Dimova.
The group performs
authentic folklore from
the village of Zhulti
Bryag, Haskovo district

Methodius Primary
School.

choreographer Mr. Vasko
Dimov and parents of dancers

manager of the club. Club

70 people.
