  1. ViziApps is a no-coding visual design platform. Traditional methods of building mobile apps include native coding tools like Apple Xcode with Objective-C, and Android SDK with Java. But even hybrid methods like Sencha, PhoneGap, and Appcelerator demand intensive coding and high levels of mobile device expertise. Compared with these coding tools, the ViziApps visual design environment is much faster to layout the user interface for your app, and to incorporate mobile device features and connect to remote data services. But what makes ViziApps *really* fast is the way you can make design changes, test the results, and push an update to all users – literally within minutes.
  2. You create a user experience by selecting visual fields such as labels and images, and touch-responsive fields such as buttons and scrolling tables, and placing these on a page. The ViziApps Studio is a free-form visual designer, so you can place these components anywhere on a page, exactly where you want them. You can resize fields, move them around, copy and paste, and even overlap and layer them. You assign each field a identifier, essentially a unique name, so you can later refer to these fields when building your app’s features.
  3. The structure of a mobile app is created by building a set of pages. There are many ways that a user can navigate through the various pages in an app. You can include an app navigation bar which is always present in every page of the app. A slide panel is normally hidden but is activate when a user taps a menu button. Any button can be assigned to change to a different page. Tapping on a row in a scrolling table can select a specific page. And pages can be selected as the result of a remote data operation. The view you see here is the App Storyboard, which shows all pages in your app, and the fields that are defined on each page.
  4. Many of the ViziApps fields will be styled according to a theme you select, although you can also override the style of individual fields if you like. A Theme allows you to change to look of your app, such as colors and font styles, even after the app has been completely built and published.
  5. Click the “Manage Data” button in ViziApps Studio, and when you create a new app data source, you will see a list of data sources supported by ViziApps. These include Google Drive Spreadsheets, Salesforce.com, Intuit QuickBase, and Intuit QuickBooks Online. ViziApps also uses industry-standard ODBC connections which support a wide range of SQL databases.
  6. Your app is done and ready for distribution. Click on the Publish button in ViziApps Studio, and you will see options for publishing. ViziApps can be used to build binary files: APK files for Android devices and IPA files for IOS devices. A single app design and pricing can publish to both iOS and Android devices. You can use these binary files for limited test distribution using testflight.com. Using your own developer accounts with Apple and Google, you can post your app to the iTunes App Store or Google Play.
