The Pick Szeged company was founded in 1869 and has since specialized in salami manufacturing. It was privately owned until 1948 when the government took ownership. It has since grown significantly, acquiring other brands and facilities. It now processes over 350,000 pigs and 15,000 cattle annually, producing 45,000 tons of meat products. The company generates over $60 billion HUF in revenue annually, over $55 million of which comes from exports. Its portfolio includes various salami, ham, and deli products sold widely in Hungary and Europe under traditional Hungarian brands.

• The company was founded in 1869 by Márk Pick
• 1883 - specialized to salami manufacturing
• 1906 - Jenő Pick came to be a co-proprietor
• During the first world war manufacturing was stopped
• Restarted the activities only in 1920
