2. • To eradicate all kinds of inequality against
women and girls everywhere in world.
• Currently women is facing multidimensional
issues like honor killings, acid attacks, sexual
harassment, domestic violence and
discrimination way in to basic health facilities,
and education

3. Problem Identification
• Education and marriage:
• Girls instead of achieving higher education become the victim of
marital concerns
• Husband’s insecurities
• married working woman have to deal with husband’s ego and
insecurities They feel insecure and threatened by interaction with
male colleagues.
• Judgments and opinions of others
• how others will perceive you through their own judgments
and opinions
• Sexual harassment
• men consider women as weak and fragile
• prevalent unsafe and unhealthy environments

5. Problem Identification
• Biasness
• due to which women earn less than men
• Women and Education
• Boys are preferred over girls in education
• Mentality: daughters after marriage will not add up to
family’s income so it is worthless for spending on them
• Economic obstacles
• Honor Killings
• Finding balance between work and personal life
• Child marriages

6. Effects:
• Stress
• Affect Well being of the country
• Less self-dependency

7. Root Causes:
• Bad mentality
• women can’t run big organizations
• limited to household only
• Education level
• restricts certain subjects as male domain
• Insecurity
• factors like harassment, fear of kidnapping, long
journeys which create hurdles in way of women
education
• Tradition and culture

• Punjab Family Courts (Amendment) Act, 2015
• Punjab Marriage Restraint (Amendment) Act, 2015
• Punjab Protection of Women against Violence Act,
2016
• Punjab Women Protection Authority Act, 2017

10. Current government efforts
• Created the first ever Women Empowerment
Policy Framework, work at the district level
• KPK Commission on the Status of Women
(KPCSW), points to girl’s education by putting
large amounts of money in sending teachers
to access girls that are related to tough areas.
• Installing an Ombudsperson for the
harassment in the workplace law.
