This document provides an overview of the European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA). ECSDA represents 41 central securities depositories (CSDs) across Europe. Its objectives are to support cooperation between European CSDs, develop expertise on the CSD business, facilitate exchange of best practices, and represent the common interests of European CSDs. It is governed by a Board of Directors and Executive Committee and assisted by working groups. Recent activities include contributing to debates on EU financial regulation and promoting international cooperation through groups like the World Forum of CSDs.

ECSDA: We stand for an efficient and risk averse post-trade
infrastructure
Non-profit association whose main objective is to
support cooperation between European CSDs.
4. Formulating and representing the common interests of European CSDs, especially
thanks to a coordinated approach towards regulators.
1. Developing expertise on the CSD business: studying technical, economic
and regulatory issues affecting CSDs and discussing possible solutions;
