Gavial
• IT IS One of the most rare and bizarre
  crocodiles in the world. Because of the
  rapid decline places,which suitable for
  habitat of Gavials, destruction of
  fisheries and predation gavials, by
  1970, they were considered nearly
  extinct. But in India, programs have
  been developed for the collection of
  eggs and rearing crocodiles in captivity,
  which has helped to increase their
  numbers from 70 to 1500 individuals.
  But to this day, gavials die, becoming
  entangled in fishing nets. Their eggs are
  illegally harvested for medical
  purposes.
Gavial
• Gharial (Latin Gavialis gangeticus) -
  one of the members of the order of
  crocodiles, the only species in the
  family Gavialovyh. Of external
  differences can be noted a narrow,
  long face.
• Male length of about 6 meters.
  Length of females do not reach
  more than 3 meters. Gharial
  inhabits the Indian subcontinent,
  Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Pakistan
  and Myanmar.
• The usual habitat for the gharial -
  waters. Deeper parts of fast-
  flowing rivers. He can not move
  quickly on dry areas because of the
  weak leg muscles.
Philippine crocodile
• The area is located on the islands Buzuanga,
  Jolo, Luzon, Masbate, Mindanao, Mindoro,
  Negros, Samar - is part of the historical range,
  but the current distribution is largely
  unchecked - there are reports of the
  disappearance of species on the islands of
  Jolo, Luzon, Masbat and Samara.
• Philippine crocodile - a relatively small species.
  The muzzle has a wide (even for a crocodile).
  The dorsal side is protected by a thick bony
  armored plates (osteodermami), formed from
  the skin tissue. Outwardly, it looks like the
  New Guinea crocodile. The total number of
  teeth 66-68.

• Size: Males rarely reach three meters. Females
  are smaller than males.
• Philippine crocodiles can live to be a hundred.

• Habitat is in fresh water sources: small lakes
  and ponds, swamps.

  invertebrates, fish and small amphibians
  and reptiles.
