6. LIFE OF THIS WORLD
Know ye (all), that the life of this world is but play1 and amusement2, pomp3
and mutual boasting4 and multiplying (in rivalry) among
yourselves, riches and children5. Here is a similitude: How rain and the
growth which it brings forth, delight (the hearts of) the tillers; soon it
withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles
away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe (for the devotees of
wrong). And Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the
devotees of Allah). And what is the life of this world, but goods and
chattels of deception?

7. LIFE OF THIS WORLD
11:16
Those who desire the life of this world and its glitter,- to
them we shall pay (the price of) their deeds therein,-
without diminution.
11:16
They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter
but the Fire: vain are the designs they frame therein,
and of no effect and the deeds that they do!

8. POSSESSIONS OF LIFE OF THIS WORLD
3:14
Fair in the eyes of men is
the love of things they covet: Women1 and sons2; Heaped-up
hoards of gold3 and silver4; horses5 branded (for blood and
excellence); and (wealth of) cattle6 and well-tilled land7.
Such are the possessions of this world's life; but in nearness
to Allah is the best of the goals (To return to).

9. DUNIYA IS NOTHING BUT BEING UNMINDFUL OF ALLAH
Atheist Rejects Allah and His qualities
Infidel Accepts Allah and His qualities but rejects Shariat
Accepts Allah, His qualities and the Shariat but does not
Sinner
follow due to due to carelessness and carnal lust
Imperfect A believer who has renounced the world, but is still aware of his
renunciation existence
Perfect One who has renounced the world, and is totally unaware of his
renunciation own existence in the love of Allah

13. Isa said: "It may be that your Lord will
destroy your enemy and make you
inheritors in the earth; that so He may try
you by your deeds.“ 7 129
Then We made you heirs in the land after
them, to see how ye would
behave!{10:14}
And know ye that your possessions and
your progeny are but a trial; and that it is
Allah with Whom lies your highest
reward. 8 28
Your riches and your children may be but
a trial: but in the Presence of Allah, is the
highest, Reward. 64 15

14. O ye who believe! Let not your riches
or your children divert you from the
remembrance of Allah. If any act
thus, the loss is their own. 63 9
It is not your wealth nor your sons,
that will bring you nearer to Us in
degree: but only those who believe
and work righteousness - these are
the ones for whom there is a
multiplied Reward for their deeds,
while secure they (reside) in the
dwellings on high! 34 37

15. The likeness of the life of this world is as the rain
which We send down from the skies: by its
mingling arises the produce of the earth- which
provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till
the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is
decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it
belongs think they have all powers of disposal
over it: There reaches it Our command by night or
by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown,
as if it had not flourished only the day before!
thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those
who reflect. 10 24
One day He will gather them together: (It will be)
as if they had tarried but an hour of a day: they
will recognize each other: assuredly those will be
lost who denied the meeting with Allah and
refused to receive true guidance.{10:45}

16. Do ye prefer the life of this world to the
Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as
compared with the Hereafter. 9 38
Nor sell the covenant of Allah for a miserable
price: for with Allah is (a prize) far better for you,
if ye only knew. 16 95
But the life of this world is but little comfort in the
Hereafter. 13 26
Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world: the
Hereafter is the best for those who do right: Never
will ye be dealt with unjustly in the very
least! 4.077

17. Those who desire the life of the present and its
glitter,- to them we shall pay (the price of) their
deeds therein,- without diminution.
They are those for whom there is nothing in the
Hereafter but the Fire: vain are the designs they
frame therein, and of no effect and the deeds that
they do! {11 15-16
If any do wish for the transitory things (of this life),
We readily grant them - such things as We will, to
such person as We will: in the end have We
provided Hell for them: they will burn therein,
disgraced and rejected. 17 18
This because they love the life of this world better
than the Hereafter: and Allah will not guide those
who reject Faith.{16:107}

18. Those who rest not their hope on their meeting
with Us, but are pleased and satisfied with the life
of this world, and those who heed not Our Signs,-
Their abode is the Fire, because of the (evil) they
earned.{10:7-8}
Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds,
And had preferred the life of this world, The
Abode will be Hell-Fire;{79:37-39}

19. Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; But
the Hereafter is better and more enduring. And
this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),
87 16-18

20. Narrated Anas Rz , resign the world for its people.
For the one who takes more from the world than
that is sufficient for him then death has indeed
seized him and he doesn’t understand –
The (carnal) world is (nothing but) carrion and its
seeker is a dog.
The world is yours, the posterity (here-after) is
yours and The Lord is mine and of those who
follow me.
The lust of the carnal world is the foundation of all
sins and renunciation of the world is the
foundation of all worship (‘ibadat)
The world is a prison to believer and paradise to
the (kafirs) unbelievers.

21. O Abdur Rahman ……….. Stay away from the world
