3. Metal braces
The most common option, metal braces are
made from stainless steel. Unlike the big,
bulky braces of years past, today’s metal
braces are smaller and much less obtrusive.
4. Clear braces
Because they are translucent, ceramic braces
are a popular choice with adult orthodontic
patients. However, ceramic braces are more
delicate than other types of braces, and the
elastic ties may become discolored in between
